Parent Teacher Student Association
The Robinswood PTSA works closely with administrators and staff members to implement many programs within the shcool that students and faculty enjoy and benefit from. RMS PTSA has been able to help the school with a variety of activities such as raising funds for the school, hosting hospitality events for the teachers and staff, and providing volunteers in different areas that positively impact student life.
MEMBERSHIP
One of the major goals for PTSA this year is to increase parental involvement in our school. Increasing parental involvement in school benefits everyone: parents, teachers, the school, the surrounding community, but most importantly the students. Outstanding schools develop strong partnerships with parents and the community. Robinswood is committed to remaining an outstanding school, therefore we want to continue the complimentary relationships we have established and look to build new relations with others.
Parents, teachers, students, family, friends, neighbors, and community members are all invited to join the RMS PTSA. Yearly dues are $5, a portion of that goes to support state and local PTSA educational concerns, and the remainder helps support the financial goals of the PTSA for our school, teachers, and students. A growing membership is an important part of the work of the PTSA because more members means we can do more for our school. Additional donations are always appreciated. Membership forms are available in the Main Office. Additionally, all school volunteers must be approved every year through Orange County Public Schools. As a PTSA member, your involvement is critical. There are many PTSA committees that are active at different times of the year and require various levels of commitment/involvement. Parents can choose to donate goods, supplies, or time. As always, anything you can do is welcome. Please feel to join us at our monthly meetings, which are currently held in the cafeteria on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM, immediately before the School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting.
